Integration issues

If the OAuth authorization page doesn’t load or the redirect back to Friday fails:
  1. Check that pop-ups are not blocked in your browser for Friday.
  2. Clear your browser cookies for the third-party service (e.g., Slack, Google, Atlassian) and try again.
  3. If using a corporate network, check with your IT team that the OAuth redirect URLs are not being blocked by a firewall or proxy.
  4. Try using a different browser or an incognito window.
This usually means the token has expired or been revoked on the third-party service.
  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find the integration and click Remove.
  3. Reconnect by asking Friday to perform an action with that service.
Removing an integration disconnects it from all Spaces that use it. Those Spaces will fail until you reconnect.
For GitHub, if the GitHub App was uninstalled from your organization, you’ll need to reinstall it by reconnecting through Friday.
An Atlassian organization admin must approve Friday’s domain before any user in your organization can connect. See the Atlassian setup guide for the domain approval steps.
Friday can only interact with channels where the bot has been added.
  1. Go to the Slack channel.
  2. Type /invite @Friday to add the bot.

Each Google service (Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail) requires its own authorization. If you authorized Calendar but now need Drive, Friday will prompt you for a separate authorization. This is by design — Friday only requests access to the services you actually use.
Claude Code requires both an Anthropic API key and a GitHub connection.
  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and verify both Anthropic and GitHub are connected.
  2. Check that your Anthropic API key is valid and has sufficient credits at console.anthropic.com.
  3. If GitHub is connected but Claude Code can’t access a repository, verify the Friday GitHub App is installed on that organization and the repository is selected.

Friday can only access Notion pages and databases that have been shared with the integration.
  1. Open the page or database in Notion.
  2. Click Share (or Connections) and add the Friday integration.
If you’ve shared pages but they still don’t appear, try removing and reconnecting the integration in Settings → Integrations. See the Notion setup guide for details.
If Friday can’t find your Linear issues or projects:
  1. Verify the Linear integration is connected in Settings → Integrations.
  2. Confirm you have access to the workspace and projects you’re querying — Friday inherits your permissions.
  3. If the integration was recently connected, try asking Friday again after a few seconds as the initial sync may take a moment.

Friday accesses HubSpot in read-only mode. If data isn’t appearing:
  1. Verify the HubSpot integration is connected in Settings → Integrations.
  2. Confirm your HubSpot user account has permission to view the contacts, deals, or tickets you’re requesting.
  3. If you recently changed HubSpot roles or permissions, remove and reconnect the integration.

If Friday can’t retrieve Sentry issues or create alerts:
  1. Verify the Sentry integration is connected in Settings → Integrations.
  2. Confirm your Sentry account has access to the organization and projects you’re querying.
  3. Check that the project identifier (slug) and organization are correct in your prompt.

Friday’s built-in email sends from notifications@hellofriday.ai. If emails aren’t arriving:
  1. Check the recipient’s spam or junk folder for emails from notifications@hellofriday.ai.
  2. Verify the recipient is within your allowed domain. If you signed up with a personal email, emails can only be sent to your own address. If you signed up with a company email, emails can be sent to any address on the same domain.
  3. If you specified a recipient outside your allowed domain, the email was silently redirected to your own address — check your own inbox.
If you need to send emails from your own address rather than notifications@hellofriday.ai, use the Gmail integration instead.
If Friday can’t query PostHog events or manage feature flags:
  1. Verify the PostHog integration is connected in Settings → Integrations.
  2. Confirm your PostHog account has the necessary permissions for the project you’re querying.
  3. If you recently connected PostHog, try your request again — the initial authorization may take a moment to propagate.

Automation issues

If a scheduled automation didn’t execute at the expected time:
  1. Check the Space to confirm the schedule is configured correctly. Open the Space and verify the trigger time and timezone.
  2. Look at the Sessions list to see if there was a failed session at the expected time.
  3. If there’s no session at all, the schedule may have been misconfigured. Tell Friday in chat: “Check the schedule for my [Space name] automation.”
If the output doesn’t match your expectations:
  1. Open the session to review each execution step and see what data was processed.
  2. Check whether the data sources returned the expected content (APIs may have changed, pages may have been updated).
  3. Tell Friday what’s wrong: “The last run of my news digest included irrelevant articles. Can you tighten the filters?”
Friday can adjust the automation based on your feedback.
Third-party APIs enforce rate limits on how many requests can be made in a given time period. If your automation hits a rate limit:
  • Friday will typically retry automatically after a short delay.
  • If the issue persists, consider reducing the frequency of your automation or ask Friday to batch requests more efficiently.

Account issues

  1. Check your spam or junk folder.
  2. Verify you entered the correct email address.
  3. Try signing up again with the same email to trigger a new confirmation.
The confirmation link expires after 24 hours.
