Overview
The Settings page is where you manage your connected integrations and account preferences. You can access it by clicking Settings in the left sidebar.Integrations
The Integrations section shows all services you’ve connected to Friday. For each integration, you can see:- The service name and icon
- The account or identity label (e.g., your username or email)
- When the integration was connected
Connecting a new integration
The easiest way to connect a new integration is to ask Friday to do something that requires it. For example, say “Post a message to Slack #general” and Friday will walk you through the flow automatically. What is OAuth? OAuth is a secure authorization method that lets you grant Friday access to your accounts in services like Slack, GitHub, and Google without sharing your password. You approve specific permissions directly with the service, and you can revoke access at any time.
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the service you want to connect.
- Click Connect and follow the authorization flow.
Removing an integration
To disconnect a service from Friday:- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the integration you want to remove.
- Click Remove.
Updating credentials
Some integrations use API keys or tokens that can expire. When a token expires:- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the integration with the expired token and click Remove.
- Reconnect by asking Friday to perform an action with that service, or click Add Integration to set it up again.
Environment variables
The Advanced Settings section (at the bottom of the Settings page) lets you manage environment variables. Environment variables are key-value pairs that some integrations use for configuration, such as API keys that aren’t managed through the standard OAuth flow. To add an environment variable:- Go to Settings and expand Advanced Settings.
- Enter the variable name and value.
- Click Save.
